Kaitiakitanga Focus

For the past few weeks on Thursdays, we've been focusing on the topic 'Kaitiakitanga' which means guardianship. We were asked to create a presentation on our chosen topic, my group's chosen topic is 'everything to know about the environment.' We've gone above the expectations and decided to create a website to encourage others to be more enviro-friendly. Our website includes a video on mother nature's call to us, 11 easy and affordable eco friendly alternatives, earth quotes, our google slide presentation and some facts about the environment.

Our earth is suffering and its our fault, we need to stop ignoring this situation, it's no joke. Check out our website by clicking this link

Kapa Haka 2020

 Turanganui Kapa Haka Festival 2020

This term is flying past my eyes, we have 2 weeks to go, then the Yr6’s are off to intermediate.  Last week our whole school participated in the Turanganui kapa haka festival. I was in the front row.  As we were walking on stage I could feel the butterflies in my stomach.

We sang  E te ariki, Utaina, Rona, Ka mate haka, school haka and Wainui e. Before I knew it, it was time to watch wai and nui syndicate’s  performances.
